Kick off your summer with a splash at Kathio State Park, just a mile west of Eddy’s. Rent a kayak, rowboat, or canoe and embark on a scenic river adventure. Prefer to stay on land? FESTIVAL FEVER

Onamia Days, held from June 14 – 16, is a colorful festival packed with family fun. Enjoy a carnival, antique car show, vendor fair, street dance, food trucks, live music, and so much more. The grand parade on Sunday, June 16, promises to be a highlight with this year’s theme, “Let’s Dance More in 2024.”
Also, mark your calendars for Garrison Play Days from July 19-21. This family-friendly festival features a parade, live music, street dances, a car show, a petting zoo, a kids zone, tournaments, and even a Paul Bunyan Lumberjack show.
FRESH FINDS AT FARMERS MARKETS
Savor the flavors of summer at the local farmers markets. Visit Johnson’s Portside Bait & Liquor on Saturdays from 9 am – 1 pm to explore one of the best farmers markets in the region. You’ll find organic produce, plants, handmade goods, and more.
Just ten minutes from Eddy’s, the Onamia Farmers Market offers eggs, herbs, fruits, vegetables, honey, jams, and more. Open on Thursdays from 2 pm – 6 pm, it’s located outside the Farm Market Café at 108 Wall Street, South Onamia, Minnesota 56359.
ROCK OUT TO LIVE MUSIC
If you’re a music lover, don’t miss the epic live music shows in the area this season.
Lakes Jam, a country and rock music festival, is held from June 27 – 29 in Brainerd, MN. Featuring headliners Jake Owen and Tyler Hubbard, this festival is sure to be a thrill. In addition to the live shows, you can also catch exciting entertainment including mud trucks, watercross, and drifting.
